Day 1 2 RRs almost completed, except for 1 silver fleet race, which was deferred until day 2 after a major breakage – BUT this could create a 3-way tie for relegation to bronze fleet. Day 2 4 Round Robins now complete, with a finals scheduled for Saturday

Regional Regatta Update 25 March
North of the Bridge at Parua Bay Day 1: 2 RRs completed – order so far: Rangi, Kerikeri, Westlake Boys, Wentworth, Mahu A, Whangarei Boys, Mahu B, Whangarei Girls Central North Islands at Taupo A frustrating day of light and fickle winds, but the final nine races of the first round robin were completed. Lower South Island Regatta
Sunday dawned cool with a light breeze, so teams went afloat, but only 2 races completed before the wind died, but the sun shone. So ashore until just before 2pm, when the forecast light wind came in. 1 round robin completed and teams off the water soon after 6pm. RR2 planned for Monday, with an earlier start time, weather permitting.

2019 Lower North Islands
Final Day Day three lightened off again, but did have the Race Officer re-jig the round robin so that every team had equal chance with all of the boats. As the wind lightened we did manage to get another complete round robin done meaning three for the regatta. Really close earlier rounds meant it could have been three or four teams in contention for the trophy. Wellington College losing to Nelson Girls thought they ended their chances – but the girls also beat Nelson Boys

Rem inder the closing date for entries is 8th April, which is after all regional events have been held. The entry fee of $2300 is due for payment by this date also. Failure to pay the entry fee by the closing date may invalidate an entry. An invoice can be sent if this assists organising payment. November Update & SSNats NOR
This year’s Interdoms was a great success for all involved, with the NZ teams winning the Interdom Trophy. Adelaide’s Westminster School was the top Open team and Napier Girls’ High School the winning girls’ team – for full results refer results tab. The 2019 Interdoms will be held at Sandy Bay Sailing Club in Hobart in July (13-17). The next Interdoms in New Zealand (2020) is also scheduled to be in the July holidays. Spring Regatta 2018
The Spring Regatta is the first Team Sailing Regatta for the coming season. Six teams competed, 2 teams from Kerikeri High School, 2 teams from Mahurangi College and the Whangarei Boys High and Whangarei Girls High teams. Wednesday and Thursday were ideal conditions with 6 to 12 knot breezes. Friday brought 15 to 25 knots which was more challenging.
