Coaching Opportunity: Wellington
The Wellington TRIYA 420 high school sailing program is currently looking for coaches! TRIYA works with multiple high schools in the Wellington region to encourage youth sailing in the 420 class. The trust runs both learn to sail and racing programs (team sailing and fleet racing). We are looking for enthusiastic people with 420 sailing experience who have (ideally) done some coaching before. 2024 Open Team Sailing Nationals Report
Day 1: Day 1 of the 2024 Open Teams Sailing Nationals is off to a cracking start, with 12 teams from around the country competing at Royal Akarana Yacht Club. National Championships Announcement
Exciting times are in store with some changes coming to the teams racing circuit for the 2024 season! We are really excited to announce that NZTSA has partnered with the New Plymouth Yacht Club to host the 2024 NZSS Team Sailing National Championships. Hopefully everyone is really excited to get racing in a different venue, this will be the first nationals in New Plymouth since 2007 and the first time that the championships hasn’t been hosted in either Algies Bay or Lake Taup

2023 NZ Open Teams Racing National Championships Report
Thievery were the winners at this years edition of the Open Championships – this year at the new venue, being hosted at the Royal Akarana Yacht Club in Auckland. Day 1 was a breezy affair with average winds of around 20 knots for most of the day. The race management team got through almost a full round robin despite some gear breakages which led to a short pause on shore, but after a one hour postponement for high winds the fleet relaunched and got stuck back into it. Westlake On The Double at National Championships 2023
The Secondary Schools Team Racing National Championships has come to a close and after a delayed start, resulting in three days of intense and very breezy racing for the teams, we have a champion! With only one day of racing taking place with full sails on it was a very windy iteration of the championships.
