Coaching Opportunity: Wellington

The Wellington TRIYA 420 high school sailing program is currently looking for coaches!

TRIYA  works with multiple high schools in the Wellington region to encourage youth sailing in the 420 class. The trust runs both learn to sail and racing programs (team sailing and fleet racing). We are looking for enthusiastic people with 420 sailing experience who have (ideally) done some coaching before. This would be a great student job, and provides an opportunity to get out on the water and have fun in the summer evenings! If you’re new to Wellington, it’s also a good way to make new sailing connections and get racing yourself.

The program is run out of the Evans Bay yacht club, a short bus ride from the city. Sessions are weeknights (3:30-7:30pm) during terms 1 and 4, with the option to coach multiple days, days are flexible at this stage. This is paid work and coaches will be contracted through Scots College who administer the trust.

Please email Brianna Otto at bribriotto@gmail.com if you have any questions or are interested in this opportunity.
