Moving About - Nationals 2015
Day 4 sees the bronze fleet sailing in 8 sets of boats to help speed up the completion of their second round robin. The gold/silver fleets, in 4 sets of boats, are completing their 2nd RR, then moving slowly into the next RR, following the repechage. Update Nationals 2015
Racing start delayed due to 25 knot winds – looking for another site on the lake. Local forecast is for winds to ease off. Wednesday’s racing got underway with a solid 10 knots, as both courses headed out to complete round robin one. The sailors were kept onshore slightly longer than predicted in order to keep them warm whilst the race officials got ready. Day 1 Report
We had a slow start to the regatta with a postponement for just under an hour due to a lack of wind, which continued to plague the fleets for the first half of the day, with a number of races having to be re-sailed due to reaching the time limit. In the afternoon the breeze got up to a steady 15 knots as forecasted, which tested some teams at times. Auckland South of the Bridge Regatta - 2015
The South of Bridge Team Regatta was held on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th March. The regatta was hosted by Bucklands Beach Yacht Club, managed by Lyall Tresadern. Twelve 420s were used and there were lots of excellent supporting volunteers. On Wednesday a ten team RR of 45 races was sailed. On Thursday the fleet was split into silver and gold and two RRs of 20 races each was sailed. Regatta points were carried forward throughout the regatta. Auckland Grammar came out well

Central North Island Regatta - 2015
Top 3 teams were Tauranga Boys, New Plymouth Boys and Linisfarne. Girls Trophy was won by New Plymouth Girls, with the local Inter-College trophy being won by Tauhara.

North of the Bridge Regionals 2015
Kerikeri has won the North of the Bridge Regionals after 2 days of sailing (a total of 130 races), followed by Westlake Boys High School, Kristin, Kerikeri 2, Wentworth and Rangitoto. Westlake Girls won the silver fleet, ahead of Long Bay, Mahurangi, Whangarei and Keri Girls. Points were close in some cases with a few tie breaks to be worked through. Regionals Update - 2015
The Central North Islands Regatta at Taupo had a delayed start, but managed to finish 51 races. Results at the end of day 1 – Gold fleet has Tauranga Boys, leading from New Plymouth Boys, New Plymouth Girls, Lindisfarne, Napier Girls A, Tauhara,Taupo Nui-a-Tia & Francis Douglas. 2015 Secondary Schools Team Sailing Nationals
There are 31 teams entered in the Secondary Schools Nationals – another big event at Taupo! Thanks to all who offered to help with the umpiring, we had a great response. Remember there is the Umpires’ Course, aimed at team sailing, to be held at Lake Taupo Yacht Club, from 2pm Sunday 12th April & all day Monday 13th, with on-water assessments during the regatta.
