Umpires Course 2021
NZTSA are happy to publish that we will be running an umpires training course just prior to the school’s national championships in April. Provisional dates for the course will be the 24th & 25th of April, the weekend immediately preceding the nationals week. This is being run in co-ordination with Yachting NZ and is a great idea to do for any level of umpiring and rules experience. This will be run out of Sandspit Yacht Club over that weekend. Rule Interpretation for 2017 Regional Events and 2017 Nationals
In the 2017-2020 rules RRS 18.3 has been deleted for starboard roundings. Also Team Racing Call E8 has been withdrawn for review. We have been advised that World Sailing will not be giving any lead on the effect of the change for a year. We need to have umpires and sailors reading form the same page at least before the nationals. One Day Team Sailing Umpires’ Course
A one-day team sailing umpires’ seminar is being held at Sandspit Yacht Club, Sandspit, Warkworth, on Sunday 25 th September, immediately prior to the 2016 Pacific Rim Inter-Schools Team Sailing Championships (Interdoms).
